Mr. Michael, good morning,
When three years ago we decided to build a small house in the village of Agios Arsenios of Naxos, we had not thought at all about the case of a prefabricated house. The architect we commissioned to design the house suggested that we build a stone or wooden house, in order to utilize all the square footage of the building that our small plot of land allowed us. So we abandoned the conventional construction of concrete.
A new sector was opening up for us, that of prefabricated wooden houses, (after the stone version was rejected) which we began to study and research initially through the internet and then through contacts with the respective companies in the sector. Until we decided to visit you. The exhibition of the houses, which you have so painstakingly placed in Agia Paraskevi, was extremely attractive. The construction details, the quality of the building materials as well as the aesthetic effect that was in harmony with ours, impressed us. But the contact we had afterwards with you was decisive. Your personality, Mr. Michalis, captivated us. You filled us with optimism, self-confidence and above all relaxation that everything can be done calmly without stress and difficulties. Even for the narrowness that characterized the location of our plot (narrow roads, access to materials, etc.) you had a solution. We had no doubt at the end of the conversation that you would build us the house in Naxos. The Kofinas company was for us a guarantee for an innovative, complete and quality solution.
It was the only option for us, as it turned out later and in practice, because it was impossible to complete a house on the island, while we lived in Athens, in such a short period of time. Regardless of the spectacular way of completing the construction as planned and supported at all stages by you, I must admit that the seasonality that characterizes the constructions in Naxos, the development course of the island in recent years, and the shortage of construction workers makes it is very difficult to complete a private residence because priority is naturally given to business premises (hotels, rooms for rent), which are the permanent customers.
All your crews are to be commended for their patience, perseverance and skill in transporting and placing materials in our hard-to-reach areas during all phases of the works. The loyalty they demonstrate to the company's name, their specialized experience from your long-term cooperation, filled us with confidence, security and undoubted success for the final result. As the implementation of the project progressed, we also realized that our house, although it was small, was quite difficult and complex in terms of design, with derivative sides and uneven parts. Despite this, your people tirelessly and non-stop worked trying for the best by satisfying our every wish. We congratulate them!
Our construction which started on February 26th and we aimed to be completed by April 10th at the latest in order to anticipate the start of the tourist season on the island, found itself in the middle of the corona pandemic and now faced with all the difficulties arising from the related prohibitions. The problems are big. But the efforts of all of you to move the project forward were particularly impressive. We managed a small miracle against all the adversity, social distancing and idiosyncratic conditions created by the unprecedented restrictions of the pandemic.
Our close and excellent cooperation, even from this distance of Athens - Naxos, provided solutions and contributed decisively to the smooth completion of the construction.
We faced problems with shortages of materials that we had decided and we had to proceed to replace them with others, through photos, purchase of additional materials on the island, transfer of an unaccompanied package to the ship to make everything as it should be.
The only observation we have to make is this: Our house was designed by engineers of our choice, who to your credit agreed to undertake its construction, working closely with and accepting their plans. This fact made, in our opinion, imperative the presence of your own engineer-supervisor throughout the implementation of the project. His presence, we think, would ensure the correct implementation of the plans, would deal with unforeseeable construction issues in practice and would eliminate errors and omissions. However, the situation did not allow us to do so. This work was undertaken by the crews themselves and they carried it out with skill. Remarkable craftsmen, all of them with a common characteristic of kindness, calmness, hard work and effective cooperation. All of them are capable. Everyone in their field. Of course, nothing would happen if it weren't for your supporting force, which in your own way reduced the distance to zero.
Our house is "a little diamond" in Naxos as you rightly described it and we and other people who have been curiously following its progress every day agree completely.
Nothing was left to chance, you satisfied our every wish with the above, such as e.g. the hatch which was not in our original plans.
However, our wish that everything be made by your own craftsmen was respected without any special formalities. This is the big – most important difference that characterizes your company. You lovingly lean over your customer and make sure they are stress-free and satisfied to the end. The construction is flowing and everything is completed "through the magic wand" !!! This is our final impression. There was an overrun on the island. You have debunked the well-known saying "he who never built a house knows nothing"
WE CONGRATULATE AND THANK YOU FROM THE HEART...
OUR DREAM HAS COME TRUE...
Yours sincerely
