Timber Buildings: Simulation, Design and Challenges

On Wednesday 11-11-20, a lecture on wooden buildings was held at the University of Thessaly by the polytechnic school of the civil engineering department with professor Mr. Stamopoulos Haris (Graduate civil engineer) as lecturer. This lecture was held via an online platform due to the pandemic facing our time. The KOFINAS company took part in the lecture, with its representatives, Mr. Kofinas Michalis and Kofinas Konstantinos.

In this lecture, presentations were made on wood, wooden building systems and tall wooden buildings, failure limit state, simulation, challenges that can be addressed, such as seismic design, wind accelerations and deformations as well as the WOODSOL and DYNATTB research programs .
