Wooden Buildings: Simulation, Design and Challenges

On Wednesday 11-11-20, a lecture on wooden buildings was held at the University of Thessaly by the Polytechnic School of the Department of Civil Engineering, with the speaker being Professor Mr. Stamopoulos Haris (Diploma Civil Engineer). This lecture was held via an online platform due to the pandemic that our era is facing. The company KOFINAS participated in the lecture, with its representatives, Mr. Kofinas Michalis and Kofinas Konstantinos.

In this lecture, positions were made on wood, wooden building systems and tall wooden buildings, the limit state of failure, simulation, the challenges that can be addressed, such as seismic design, wind accelerations and deformations, as well as on the WOODSOL and DYNATTB research programs.
