Nikolaos Kofinas, having worked for 10 years in various construction companies, acquires the experience he needs to implement his innovative ideas for the time.

Anticipating the market's needs for more affordable homes, which would be delivered to the customer faster and would be superior in quality compared to conventional constructions, he studies building systems and materials.

After the company's dynamic start, the demands for further organization and development brought Michalis Kofinas to the company, and thus the foundations of the Kofinas brothers' career in the construction sector were laid.

Then begins the search for permanent collaborators, engineers and technicians to ensure a stable and upward course. It is no coincidence that since 1980 many of the company's executives have been working at Kofinas O.E. and continue to share the same vision with us.

At the same time, the company is building the first factory in Markopoulo, which increases the production of prefabricated houses, but also mass-produces smaller houses which are transported ready-made by cranes.

The company Kofinas O.E., responding to the increase in demands and with an emphasis on improving the services provided to the customer, is expanding its showroom in Agia Paraskevi, while also creating a new one on Markopoulou Avenue. It is worth noting that in the new showrooms the customer was also given the opportunity to choose individual materials that would be included in his home.

The construction of houses that were transported by cranes is taking a back seat, since now the company Kofinas O.E. relies on prefabricated houses which it constructs on site on the plot.

Having already built thousands of houses, the company does not rest. The constant research and exploration in the field of prefabricated housing, mainly through various exhibitions and engineers from abroad, constantly improve the quality of construction. The company now even selects from abroad the best raw materials for the construction of the houses.

In 1993, to demonstrate its pioneering role in the field of prefabrication, it organized, for the first time in Greek history, an Exhibition of Prefabricated Houses, which took place in the courtyard of the Zappeion mansion.

From 2000, the new generation of the Kofinas family will take on key positions in the company (Kostas Kofinas: foreman, Pigi Kofinas: accounting, Eugenia Kofinas – architecture).

For the production of innovative masonry, the company's new factory is being built in Markopoulo, Mesogaias.
The modern factory with its huge storage spaces is equipped with machines that robotically place the screw in all the construction parts of the masonry.

Prefabricated houses that were built on site are a thing of the past. Now the masonry is transported ready-made to the site with privately owned cranes,
since the company's factory is being further upgraded with machines that angle, press and test each wall individually.

However, the company is not only developing in the technical sector but also in the commercial sector. In 2004, it reconstructed its showrooms in Agia Paraskevi and Markopoulou Avenue and at the same time created a sales network in Greece and abroad. Kofinas O.E. now exports its masonry and its foremen are sent abroad at regular intervals for supervision and for research into construction technologies.

The unique building system of the company Kofinas O.E. is being tested for its durability at the National Technical University of Athens, surpassing every natural limit of durability. The construction surprised experts and scientists who spoke publicly about the quality and technology of the company.
The company's vast experience in wooden constructions and the continuous technological research, mainly abroad, lead the Kofinas company to also deal with Finnish wooden houses. The company now imports the best quality timber in Europe to build houses with Finnish logs. To prove their quality to the customer, the company expands its exhibition on Markopoulou Avenue by constructing Finnish houses.

The company is undoubtedly the reference center in the developments of prefabricated buildings. This is the reason why engineers, students and technical schools visit the company's exhibitions and constructions to study and learn about the constructions.

The Kofinas brothers, despite their objective reputation in the construction market, are not complacent and continue to climb. They attend the largest European exhibitions, such as BAU in Germany, emphasizing the construction of larger-scale buildings (commercial buildings, office buildings, etc.) and continue to research modern construction solutions.

This technological progress is also verified by the new experimental research of the three-story KOFINA structure. The experiment, which was carried out in the technical office of the internationally renowned Professor Emeritus of the National Technical University of Athens, P. Karydis, reaffirmed the uniqueness of the structure and the name of our company.

The further modernization of the company is achieved with the construction of a new office building in Agia Paraskevi. At the same time, the company will present the new Flexyhome residential series. The Flexyhome series was created by the company with the aim of offering home buyers an economical solution, which, however, is not inferior in anything technologically and qualitatively.

By creating exclusive dealerships, importing huge quantities of raw materials and prefabricating most of the construction in bulk in our company's factory, we were able to reduce construction costs without compromising quality. From the wooden Swedish frame to the last joint, the Flexyhome construction proved that the best is not always the most expensive.

The Kofinas company is upgraded to a S.A. At the same time, it creates a network of representatives in Greece and Europe, while for the first time, the export of prefabricated construction parts abroad begins.

At the same time, it is technologically and qualitatively developing its building system with a focus on ecology and sustainable development. Both the masonry of the structures and the roof are reinforced with ecological materials, ensuring optimal energy performance. This optimal energy performance will be the basis for the first time that Kofinas S.A. will construct certified passive buildings.

The company KOFINAS SA innovates without resting. As always, it constantly introduces new elements in the construction of houses, which are also recognized as “are certified", both from our hundreds of satisfied customers and from the National Technical University of Athens, where the unique building system of the Kofinas company was tested for its durability surpassing every natural limit of endurance.  

Thus, once again, without resting, innovation is seen, with the new factory of KOFINAS SA which will house its vision which has already been in operation since early 2020. KOFINAS SA is once again creating something new that makes a difference in the field of prefabricated houses. This factory is located in the Markopoulou Industrial Zone.
