The basic thermal insulation material of masonry. Natural mineral wool offers excellent thermal insulation, sound insulation and fire resistance (category A1-non-combustible materials). Raw materials for the production of mineral wool fiber are the rocks amphibolite, dolomite, or limestone and bauxite. Mineral wool is produced in an electric furnace. This method has advantages over the blast furnace method used to date, because dimensional uniformity is achieved in the produced fibers through the constantly controlled temperature of the melt and it has a minimal impact on the environment, unlike that of the blast furnace.

The tile roof membrane is 3-layered, vapor-permeable (breathable), but absolutely waterproof. It protects roofs from condensation, rain, snow, dust and all weather conditions. Due to its high vapor permeability, it also allows ventilation of houses from the inside.

The masonry timber, which is:

  • Swedish: which means it is very compact.
  • Pine: which means greater resistance to moisture.
  • Drying room: which means that the wood is baked for weeks and undergoes natural disinfestation rather than chemical (like green wood), while the humidity reaches the ideal level of 15-16% for residential construction.
  • Ecological: meaning that the timber does not contain chemical loads and that the policy of the Swedish Wood Industry contributes to the absorption of carbon dioxide.
  • Planed: which means that it has perfectly flat surfaces, which in combination with the factory connections, achieve perfect fit and zero joints in all the structural parts of the house.
  • FSC CoC: Which means that this wood comes from controlled forests in which for every tree that is cut down, 3 more are planted in its place. 
  • Class C24: which means that it has very high mechanical strength, demonstrating up to 80% higher load-bearing capacity than ordinary construction timber.

The waterproofing of the wall base is carried out using an impregnated beam, type NP5. The wood preservation category A and AB (Class A and Class B) of the timber we supply implies that the treatment is carried out in accordance with the penetration class NP5 which is formulated with the SS-EN 351-1 standard. This protects the base of the masonry from damage that could be caused by possible moisture in the base from the concrete, improving the durability of the residence.
